Who we are
We’ve been teaching online since well before Covid! Our expertise is based on over a decade in the field of e-learning, and two decades of work in wildlife conservation and environmental research
Lucy Tallents — Founder and Director
Before establishing VerdantLearn, Dr Lucy Tallents created and taught the Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice and related online courses at Oxford University’s Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU). She has also taught face-to-face courses for Oxford University’s Environmental Research Doctoral Training Partnership
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and earned her DPhil at WildCRU researching the behavioural and spatial ecology of Ethiopian wolves
She has been working as a consultant since 2000, with clients including conservation charities such as WWF and FFI, academic institutions, and individual researchers and conservation practitioners
